Back Molar Tooth Pain?

My 14 year old nephew is experiencing some pain and pressure in his upper right molars (left if your facing him, it's his right). I told him it might be a wisdom tooth issue and he didn't embrace that very well because he knows about the process. But I did some research and found out that wisdom teeth don't usually come in until 16 on the early side, so could this be a wisdom tooth problem. He said it was kind of a sudden pain that came out of no-where (it wasn't gradual), and it was just a day or two after the climax of a head virus that he caught that affected his nose, throat, everything. Does anyone have any input. Thanks
