What happened to Keannu Reeves?

I remember when Reeves had his moment with the Matrix and even with a more recent Constantine. But seemingly after those movies, he has fallen off of the map. I am not really a fan of his, but I am just curious. What happened to his career? He's no longer in the limelight as he was during the 1990's and early 2000's. He just doesn't seem quite as popular as he was. Did his career take a wrong turn? Is it the movies he has been in as of late?
